I've had this journal open for about 2 years now (give or take) and it's original purpose of giving me somewhere to vent anonymously about my angsty woes and fears about coming out, is pretty much obsolete. As is the anonymity for the most part. I've made a bunch of friends here so far that even though I've never met them in the flesh, they still rock, and know at least my name and what I look like aside from what I put here.
Ok so back to the whole "about me" thing. I'm a 21 year old, soon-to-be senior in college, getting ready to graduate and planning on taking some time away from the class room afterwards. I'm gay, and have been out for about a year and a half now, and I couldn't be happier. I'm still green when it comes to the whole dating thing, and I got off to a rocky start with a few jack asses, but I'm going along my way, learning as I go.
Other than that I'm really snarky, competitive, chatty when I want to be, driven to succeed, getting a degree in biological anthropology with a focus on forensic anthropology, I'm a caffiene addict, I sing, I dance, I act (I like to think I'm a triple-threat), I'm a mega book worm, I LOVE going to see movies opening night and talk about them for hours afterward. I'd like to think I can do anything and everything, all at once sometimes, and I'm learning that I really can't and don't necessarily need to. Currently, I'm a little disillusioned with the establishment of higher education and after 19 straight years as a student I'm starting to think it's a little bogus that I need to spend $200k for a piece of paper that's supposed to say I'm worth something. I'm thinking about taking my life in a different direction, I just don't know what. If you want to know more drop me a comment, otherwise thanks for tuning in.
